2007 Clergy and Lay Leader Legislative Days

We are in the final stages of planning the activities for the June 11 and 12, 2007 Samuel DeWitt Proctor Legislative Days.  Our goal is to provide a forum for listening and sharing, and sending a clear message that African American pastors and congregations are concerned about national public policy and justice issues in America.   Registration for Legislative Days is free!

We anticipate convening a nationally representative group and hope that many of you plan to attend.  We are pleased with responses from elected officials who welcome our presence on Capitol Hill.

Please also note that we will host our second Addie Wyatt/Bill Lucy Justice Institute's Next Generation Leadership Development Training, June 10-13, 2007.  The Addie Wyatt/Bill Lucy Justice Institute, established in 2005 for young adults 20-40 years of age, is designed to assist young leaders in building teams to share information and expertise to strategicaly strengthen their local churches, schools, and unions.

These committed young leaders will engage in training and dialogue and visit their congressional representatives.  If you are interested in sponsoring and/or recommending a young person (ages 20-40 yrs.), please review the related information
